Collection: Where The Crawdads Sing entire collection

After Reading the book “Where the Crawdads sing” for the first time last month the story stayed with me. The main character Kya showed such resilience and strength I was so captivated throughout . I knew I wanted to honour it with a piece which quickly turned into a collection (particularly after watching the film for inspiration)

Kya's relationship with nature and her ability to survive against all odds resonated with me deeply. The Blue Heron’s symbolism is one of strength and self-reliance, and it makes sense that Kya feels an affinity with this allusive bird & the Seagulls which provide her with the only kind of connection she can count on no matter what happens. Because of this, they become a symbol of her intense and undying connection to the natural world, which is the only thing in her life that remains constant.

The Swans was a late edition by me because I just had to! They may not feature in the film but I feel they represent the beautiful love story that unravelled in the story.
