About me
Hi, welcome to my little slice of the internet! My name is Joanna Green, and I'm a British Abstract artist born in 1991.
I rediscovered a deep passion for creating art during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic. Having not painted since I was a young girl, I found solace and inspiration in the ability to communicate through the world of abstract expressionism from my home in Essex.
Having my artwork’s described as "unique and captivating" my pieces seemed to resonate quickly with audiences globally.. So I made the scary decision to leave my steady career in accounts behind and fully dedicate myself to my art. After consistently pushing forward through the ups and downs that any new business faces and the repercussions of the pandemic, I remarkably with passion on my side made a success as a full time artist. I now work from my studio in the quaint town of Maldon along side my two best friends (French bulldogs, Nigel & Shelly) and I aim to evolve grow and elevate with each passing year.
I draw from my own life experiences and a deep appreciation for interior design, aiming to seamlessly blends bold and delicate tones with textured brushstrokes to create works that not only complement modern and classic spaces, but also tell a vivid and emotive story.
I often use birds in my pieces as I feel they convey a spiritual sentiment to myself and my clients which also brings my connection to nature to the foreground.
My artistry is a fusion between my passions - art, nature and interiors, resulting in pieces that hopefully not only adorn your walls, but also evoke a sense of depth, emotion, and personal connection.
Each artwork is a testament to my journey (and if commissioned, your journey too) inviting viewers to immerse themselves in a world where colours, textures, and narratives coalesce into a harmonious visual symphony.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my little story x
