What Is Hand Embellishment?
Hand embellishment is when I return to a printed artwork and add delicate details using silver or gold paint in the studio.
After your print has been professionally produced from my original painting, I carefully apply small touches of metallic paint to selected areas. These details are subtle and considered, designed to catch the light and gently lift the piece without changing its overall feel.
The aim is to enhance the atmosphere of the artwork, not overpower it.
Each embellished print is finished individually by hand, which means no two pieces are ever exactly the same. Slight variations are part of the process and reflect the fact that your artwork has been personally worked on in the studio.
Choosing hand embellishment means your print becomes something closer to an original, with a quiet metallic detail that adds depth and light.
If you are drawn to something a little more tactile and luminous, this option may be for you.
